Bridging Silence: The First Crowdsourced FSL Dictionary

A Future Where Every Sign is Understood

In a country of 7,000+ islands, sign language can vary from place to place—making it difficult for learners, families, and even Deaf communities to communicate clearly. Many Filipinos still don’t have access to proper sign language education, especially in remote areas.

That’s why Accessifiers is building the first-ever Crowdsourced Filipino Sign Language Dictionary App—a digital tool to unify, educate, and empower. Launching in 2026, the app will help students, parents, educators, and Deaf individuals expand their FSL vocabulary, understand regional signs, and promote inclusion—one sign at a time.

First-Ever Crowdsourced Sign Language Dictionary

Built by the community, for the community. Contributors from across the Philippines can submit, review, and validate signs—ensuring diverse and accurate representation.

Searchable & Filtered Vocabulary

Find the exact sign you need—by word, topic, region, or sign category. Quick, efficient, and user-friendly.

Sign Tags & Regional Origins

Every sign includes contextual tags—like its province or city of origin—and usage notes. This highlights local variations while respecting regional identities.

Offline Access & Downloadable Signs

Download videos or vocab sets to access signs without internet. Essential for remote areas and low-data users.

Learning Path Modules

Structured learning tracks guide users from beginner to advanced levels. Perfect for schools, families, and independent learners alike.

Verified signs through votes and analytics.

Signs submitted by users can be tagged by trusted organizations and ranked by community votes to highlight the most accurate and widely used signs for learners.

Your hands can teach others.

This is the first-ever crowdsourced FSL dictionary app in the Philippines. Users can contribute signs by associating them with words, selecting a category, and uploading a video of themselves signing. If a similar sign already exists, the app will notify them—encouraging both contribution and awareness.

Choose From Community-Verified Signs

After searching, users can choose from a list of available signs. The app recommends the most liked signs to help promote commonly used and community-approved signs. This helps learners pick the most recognized and widely accepted variation.

Vote and Help Build a Centralized Vocabulary

Through a simple voting system, users can “like” the signs they use or support. While Filipino Sign Language naturally varies by region, this system doesn’t erase less-used signs—instead, it helps learners discover what’s most common while preserving regional identity.
